Session Summary: Successful animal disease surveillance and tracking requires a true partnership between industry, producers, and federal, state and tribal leadership. Some states have adopted legislation or regulation that protects information confidentiality and implements components of the NAIS. This session will explore efforts by several states to address state authorizing legislation for voluntary or mandatory programs, as well as protecting confidentiality of information.
