NIAA Hosted Events

NIAA coordinates and facilitates national conferences and symposia addressing issues affecting animal agriculture. These serve as a forum for industry, research, academia and government to address issues collaboratively to reach a unified resolve.

NIAA’s Annual Conference centers around a theme of critical importance to animal agriculture and is comprised of two general sessions plus breakout sessions devoted to Councils and Committees where highly targeted, leading-edge information is delivered and resolutions are developed.

National meetings are developed on current and emerging topics. Recent events include Joint Forums on Animal Disease Traceability and Symposia on Antimicrobial Use & Resistance, providing platforms to exchange scientific information, find common ground and seek resolutions.

Powerful face-to-face networking abounds at NIAA’s Annual Conference and symposia. Connections are made and beneficial two-way-street relationships are developed. Many NIAA members comment that they appreciate the opportunity to develop relationships outside their immediate circle of animal agriculture.

Join fellow leaders from animal, human, and environmental health for the 10th Annual NIAA Antibiotic Symposium. This year's planning team has created an agenda that will allow leaders dedicated to One Health to learn, collaborate, and develop solutions as, together, we all become better stewards of antibiotics while combating antimicrobial resistance.

The 2020 Symposium - Animals, Humans, and the Planet... Vital for our Future, will feature updates on the latest research on antibiotic stewardship, antimicrobial resistance and alternatives within human, animal - both farm and companion, and environmental health. Leaders participating in Symposium also will receive updates on global issues affecting U.S. animal agriculture and engage in conversations about how to better share information on antibiotic stewardship and antimicrobial resistance with a variety of audiences.

And, you won't want to miss the virtual Happy Hour during Symposium!
